Refund cancellation

Fees, Refund, and Cancellation Policy
Welcome to the official Financial Policy page of Achimota Heights Academy. This document governs all financial transactions, admission processing fees, tuition collections, and withdrawal terms for all academic tiers (Pre-Primary, Primary, JHS, and SHS streams).
1. Admission Form and Processing Fees
  • All fees paid for acquiring school admission forms, processing applications, and entry evaluation tests are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
2. Enrollment Deposit and Seat Reservation
  • Upon acceptance of an admission offer, parents/guardians must pay a designated non-refundable enrollment deposit by the stated deadline to lock in their ward's classroom seat.
  • This reservation fee secures the seat and covers administrative logistics; it will not be refunded if the student fails to resume school.
3. Tuition and School Fees Refund Schedule
Requests for tuition refunds upon official student withdrawal must be made in writing to the Principal or Head of Accounts. Refunds are calculated strictly based on the following timelines within the academic term/semester:
  • Withdrawal Before the First Day of Reopening: 80% refund of the paid termly tuition fee (excluding reservation fees).
  • Withdrawal Within Week 1 to Week 2 of Classes: 50% refund of the paid termly tuition fee.
  • Withdrawal After Week 2 of Classes: Strictly no refund will be issued for the remainder of that term or semester.
4. Non-Refundable Ancillary Charges
The following structural fees are completely separate from tuition and are strictly non-refundable once paid or issued to the student:
  • Customized school uniform packages, sportswear, and institutional badges.
  • Notebooks, textbooks, and physical stationery supplies.
  • Termly digital portal access and ICT infrastructure maintenance levies.
5. Cancellation of Services (Bus and Feeding)
  • Parents wishing to cancel optional ancillary services like school bus transit or the institutional feeding program must submit a 2-week notice in writing.
  • Pro-rata refunds for these services will be credited to the following term's balances, provided the mandatory notice period was fully given.
6. Academic Dismissal and Suspension
  • If a student is officially suspended or expelled from Achimota Heights Academy due to gross misconduct, disciplinary infractions, or a direct breach of school rules, all paid fees for that active term/semester are completely forfeited. No refunds will be granted.
